Merit Lindemann
My name is Merit Lindemann and I am 21 years old. I graduated from Baldwinsville High School in 2008. Although I currently don’t attend college, I am considering a career in fashion marketing, policing or even nutrition. My marching experience includes: Randall HS 2005, Baldwinsville '06-'07, Spectrum '08-Present. I currently teach Baldwinsville Varsity for the third season. My favorite winterguard show was Spectrum 2011 (probably biased because of the uniform...just kidding, great show to perform). My favorite quote is: “If you keep doing what's convenient for you, you stay right where you are.”

Kaitlin Gullow
My name is Kaitlin Gullow and I am 22 years old. I graduated from Laurens Central School in 2007 and I am currently a student at Oneonta State College studying Behavior Psychology. I marched for the Laurens Jaguars from 1999-2005 & 2007. I also marched for Spectrum Winterguard in 2006 & 2010-2012. I am currently teaching the Laurens Jaguar Varsity Winterguard, as well giving a helping hand to the Laurens Jr. Winterguard program. I am now blessed with a beautiful baby boy, named Parker, who attends most Spectrum weekend practices. He is the absolute love of my life.

Bethany Pitzrick - 19 years old
I work at a lovely gas station at the moment. I eventually will be obtaining a degree in Biomedical engineering, when my brain has a higher capacity. Or becoming a crazy cat lady... whichever comes first. Marched Phoenix Winterguard 2003-2009, and Phoenix Colorguard 2005-2008. Hobbies include: cats and cat things, playing the clarinet, long walks on the beach, and breathing.

Brynn Bohannon
My name is Brynn Bohannon and I'm 20 years old. I graduated from Liverpool High School in 2010 and have been attending Binghamton University ever since. I'm a dual major in Bachelor of Sciences in Mathematics and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I want to travel to Spain someday and teach over there, and then settle in the U.S. teaching high school math. I marched with Liverpool's Winterguard for five years and their marching band for three years. I marched with the Empire Statesmen for four years and this is my second year in Spectrum. I'm currently teaching at the ME-UE Winterguard program. My favorite guard memory is watching Spectrum perform in the Rochester regional in 2010 because that was the moment I decided I wanted to become a part of Spectrum. My favorite show that I've been in was last years "Mad About You.” One of my recent favorite quotes is "You don't know how strong you are, until strength is all you have left."

Ciara Tolerico
My name is Ciara Tolerico and I am 19 years old. I went to Liverpool High School and graduated in 2010. I will be attending Bryant & Stratton in January and majoring in Business. I have marched with Liverpool for 5 years, the Empire Statesmen Drum Corps for 2 years and this is my 2nd year spinning with Spectrum. I have taught with Phoenix High School and now am currently working with Central Square Varsity Winterguard. My favorite guard memory would probably be my junior year and getting my rifle stuck in the ceiling. My favorite guard show would definitely be last year's show “Mad About You.”

JJessica Bennett
My name is Jessica Bennett and I am 20 years old. I graduated from Laurens Central School and I currently work at The Plains at Parish Homestead. I plan on going to Tompkins Cortland Community College in January 2012 for my degree in General Studies. I marched with the Laurens Jaguars from 2nd grade up until I graduated from high school. This will be my second year with Spectrum. I am currently teaching the Laurens Winterguard.

Lisa Johnson
My names Lisa Johnson and this is my second year of Spectrum. I am a graduate from Phoenix High School (05-09), where I marched in their marching band and winterguard programs. I also marched with the Empire Statesmen Drum Corps (08-10). I attended college at Cayuga Community College and am planning to go back to school next fall to become a medical assistant. My name is Mickaylastar Pangaro. I am 19yrs old and I graduated from John C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix N.Y. I am currently a student at Onondaga Community College and I am majoring in Adolescence Education and Photography. I was in the Phoenix Winterguard for five years and I am currently a volunteer with their program. I marched with the Empire Statesmen for a year and this is my 2nd year with Spectrum.

Marissa Fariello
My name is Marissa Fariello. I graduated from the Greater Johnstown High School. I am currently a senior English Literature and French major at SUNY Geneseo. I will be pursuing graduate study in Women's and Gender Studies next fall. I marched with the Greater Johnstown’s Amethyst Gold Winterguard from 2003 to 2008 and Johnstown's marching band from 2000 to 2008. This is my second season with Spectrum. I have choreographed for Mohonasen Winterguard and Albany Winterguard, and I currently teach and choreograph for Johnstown’s winterguards. My name is Lauren McNerney and I am 21 years old. I graduated from Homer High School and am currently attending SUNY Cortland for Biomedical Science. I eventually plan on going to medical school. Ashley Doty
My name is Ashley Doty and I am 18 years old. I recently graduated from Hinsdale Central School in June 2011 and I plan to go to college in the fall of 2012. I marched with the Hinsdale Winterguard from 2002 until 2011 and marched in the White Sabers Drum Corps during the summer of 2011. I am helping with the Hinsdale Winterguard this season. My favorite memory in guard was when Hinsdale made finals in 2008. This was also my favorite show which was called "Play.”
Chelsea Ruan
My name is Chelsea Ruan. I am 18 years old and I graduated from Homer Senior High School in June 2011. I am now in college at Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3). I am majoring in Biotechnology in the hopes to be a biologist in the medical field to help fight diseases. In the past, I have marched with Homer Winterguard for 7 years and a summer with the Brigadiers Summer Visual Ensemble. I am currently not teaching, but I occasionally help with the Homer Sr. Winterguard. My favorite guard memory was in 2007, when I joined the senior team. That year was my favorite by far; we were not just a team but a family. The marching experience is something I will never forget. My favorite quote comes from my parents: “Take on the day babygirl; give it your all.” Thanks to guard, I have learned to take naps anywhere at any time.
Harlie DuMond
My name is Harlie DuMond. I am 17 years old and currently a junior at Norwich High School. After high school, I plan on pursuing a degree in Special Education. I have been a member of the Norwich Marching band for the past 5 years. This is my first year in Spectrum Winterguard and so far it has been a wonderful experience for me. The one quote that has kept me going during such a demanding activity is: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.”
Justin Herne
My name is Justin T. Herne, and this will be my first year with Spectrum, but my fourth year of winterguard all together. I spun with the Jordan Elbridge Winterguard for three years, being a captain for two of those three. I also spun in the colorguard this past summer with the Empire Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps. I am currently a freshman at Cazenovia College studying Environmental Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Biology. I plan on transferring to S.U.N.Y. ESF next fall to study either Conservational Biology or Marine/Aquatic Biology.

Lindsay Baker
My name is Lindsay Baker and I am 18 years old. This is my first year in Spectrum Winterguard, and I'm so honored to be part of the program! I've been a fan of the guard since before I even started spinning. Two of my older sisters used to spin, so that definitely helped get me more interested in the sport. I graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School, where I spun for 2 years in field band and 6 years on the varsity winterguard. I am currently going to Onondaga Community College in January 2012 for art because I want to be an art teacher after I graduate. Drawing and painting have been a huge part of my life, so I'd love to share my knowledge and skill with others, as well as learn from them. I'm so excited to see how our show progresses throughout the season!
Liza Hazlett
My name is Liza Hazlett and I am 18 years old. I graduated in 2011 from Laurens Central School. I plan on taking online classes for a major in Business to hopefully one day open a bakery. I have marched with the Laurens Jaguars for 8 years and their summer marching band for 5 years. I currently help with the Laurens Jaguars Winterguard. My favorite winterguard show would have to have been my senior year. We were undefeated for a majority of the season. My all time favorite motto is: “you CAN do it, plain and simple, if you think you can. Chances are you haven't tried hard enough.” Beth and Chris Calhoun have been my instructors for 8 years, they are very good motivators, I look up to them a lot!
Mackenzie Allen
My name is Mackenzie Allen. I'm 17 years old and currently a senior at Phoenix High School. I intend on attending Nazareth College in the fall and majoring in Music Business. I have spun with Phoenix Winter Guard from '05-'10. I also marched 2 years of field band in the color guard and my final 2 years in the horn line. I also marched with the Syracuse Brigadiers Drum & Bugle Corps in '09, and the Empire Statesmen '10-present. My favorite guard experience would be attending Dayton for the first time and performing in the UD Arena. One of my all time favorite guard shows would be Spectrum '07 (The Tell Tale Heart)!
Melissa Garrison
My name is Missy Garrison. I am 18 years old. I graduated from Maine Endwell High School last year. I will be starting classes in Liberal Arts at BCC in January 2012. I marched in the ME-UE Winterguard for 7 years. I currently teach the ME-UE Winterguard and UE Colorguard. My favorite guard memory/experience would be getting to go to watch shows last year in Dayton, OH. My favorite motto is "Everything happens for a reason."
Sara Bryden
My name is Sara Bryden. I am 21 years old and from Laurens, New York. I graduated from Laurens in 2008 and began doing colorguard in the first grade. I also spun for Spectrum in 2010. I am currently a senior at SUNY Oneonta, majoring in psychology. I plan on attending grad school and eventually becoming a high school guidance counselor. I also work with the Laurens Jaguars Varsity Winterguard and Eclipse Winterguard. My absolute favorite guard experience was WGI Championships in San Diego 2004. When I'm not at colorguard, I like to be with my friends and watch sports (especially the Orangemen).
Taylor Laris
My name is Taylor Laris and I am 19 years old. I graduated from CNS in 2010. I currently attend Syracuse University, where I major in Biology and Forensics. My plan is to become a Forensic Scientist. I have marched 5 years at CNS in the winterguard and marching band. I also marched one summer with the Empire Statesmen Drum Corps. I am now an instructor for the CNS IA Winterguard. My favorite guard memory was winning Worlds in '09 with the show 'Why?', which was also my favorite show to perform. I love to perform and winterguard is my passion. My personal motto is: “YOU BETTER GET IT!”
